What are Security Labels?
There are two different types of Security
Labels - Destructible Labels and Tamper-Evident Labels. Both of these products
perform similar functions; namely to protect your assets and discourage tampering
or unauthorized asset transfer.
However, Security
Labels can also perform a secondary
function as an asset tracking label if you print a bar code and/or human readable
number on them. Security
Labels can also serve as a testament to your company or school by proudly
displaying a logo or stylized type in any of Metalcraft's standard colors (black,
red, yellow, green or blue). Custom colors are also available.
How do Security Labels Work?
Destructable Security Labels deter theft by breaking into tiny pieces if anyone tries to remove them. Likewise Tamper-Evident Security Labels also deter theft but they do so by leaving behind them the word "VOID" on the surface of the asset if someone tries to remove it. Both of these Security
Labels perform similar functions but in very different ways.
